A message from Emil Sitka's son, Saxon Emil Sitka:
In response to the thousands of letters I've received
since my father passed away, I've created a newsletter
about his life and career. It was originally conceived
as a means to maintain contact with Emil's many friends
and fans. Due to it's popularity however, it has evolved
into a platform for providing information about his
thirty-year association with The Three Stooges as well
as his experiences during five decades as a Hollywood
character actor. The subscriber list has grown to include
comedy fans, movie buffs, and film historians from all
across the country, and issues now make their way to
Canada, Scotland, England, Russia, New Zealand, and
Argentina.
Emil
has often been nicknamed "The Fourth Stooge"
because of his long close relationship with the Three
Stooges both on and off the screen, because of his involvement
with their history as both a comedy team and a Hollywood
legend, and because of the extensive range and prominence
of his many acting roles in their films. I have therefore
chosen to call the newsletter The Fourth Stooge.
Each
issue is filled with material from the vast collection
of memoirs and memorabilia left to me by my father.
They contain rare photographs, detailed information
about Emil's film appearances, anecdotes about Emil
submitted by friends and fans, and reprints of previously
published interviews with Emil and articles about his
acting career. Also included are Emil's own first-hand
observations and memories of working with The Three
Stooges and many other famous actors. It provides a
truly unique glimpse into the real story of acting in
Hollywood as seen by the character actor nicknamed "The
Fourth Stooge."
This
newsletter is now published as the quarterly journal
of The Emil Sitka Fan Club. For further information,
please send a stamped self-addressed envelope to:

please send a 9" x 12" stamped self-addressed envelope

Many thanks to all the wonderful fans and friends of
my father who have given me so much encouragement and
support.
Sincerely,
Saxon Emil Sitka
